Acts is a bridge between the Gospels and Epistles, and the pattern for the continued work of the Church, particularly to evangelize and be submissive to the Holy Spirit. In Acts we have the last words of Jesus, the birth of the Church, the first Church officers, the first Church Council, the martyrdom of Stephen and James, and Paul’s missionary journeys.
